Comparing two teachers.

Mr. Hale - An amazing teacher. Always found ways to connect and build friendships with each of his students. He would build friendships with his students by giving them nicknames, goofing around with his students while also paying close attention to each of his students in terms of their classwork. If somebody failed a test, he would always strive for them to learn the material and get the best out of his lessons. He truly cared about his students lives and always strived to build them up and show them their true potential.
Personally, I have never been very good at math. I love math when I understand it, but for the most part I'm not all too great with numbers. I passed my Algebra class with an A- and got a B on my final test at the end of the year.

Mr. Keeting - Filled with passion. He was his own person and didn't care about what anybody thought of his teaching skills. He strived to encourage his students discover their true selves.

Thesis - Both Mr. Hale and Mr. Keeting were phenomenal teachers. Both were passionate, genuine, and uplifting. They both truly cared about not only their students education, but their general well-being as well.

Paragraph 1 -
introduction : There are many qualities that people may list when asked "What makes a good teacher?" While some may say "patience" or "hard work" , what truly makes a good teacher is someone who longs to inspire. In the 1989 film Dead Poets Society, Mr. Keeting, an English teacher truly exemplifies that inspiration shapes not only minds, but hearts.
